Att som tonsättare få arbeta med er är en dröm. Nya stycken möter ni med idel leenden, entusiasm och till och med applåder.
Oförskräckt kastar ni er in i de nya klangerna och uttrycken.
Inget är för svårt eller konstigt för att inte prövas.
Och så sjunger ni så in i vassen bra, se’n!

Ni är en ständig källa till inspiration, och en av mina absoluta favoritensembler i världens musikliv!

You have taught the art, skill and joy of singing not only with the girls of Adolf Fredriks but with our children here in California and in many other countries. Thank you for leading the way.

För Kungl. Musikaliska Akademien är medvetandet om värdet av stimulans och insatser för unga människors musikutövande en självklarhet och dessutom en praktisk realitet genom olika typer av bidrag.

Kungl. Musikaliska Akademien ställer sig helt naturligt i främsta ledet som gratulant då Adolf Fredriks Flickkör firar sitt 30-årsjubileum och vi bugar oss inför en gärning av denna dignitet.

Adolf Fredriks Flickkör fyller 30 år tillsammans med flera tiotals generationer av unga sångare, som lärt sig älska svensk folkvisa likaväl som nyskriven musik av både svenska och utländska tonsättare.

I min egenskap av tonsättare och president för IFCM har jag dels haft förmånen höra Adolf Fredriks Flickkör sjunga mina tonsättningar, dels kunnat känna stolthet utomlands var gång Bosse Johansson eller Flickkören kommit på tal för festivaler, master classes eller workshops.

Jag sammanfattar min födelsedagshälsning till Bosse och hans flickkör med den gotländska folkvisans ord:

”Uti vår hage där växa blå bär,
men utav alla du kärast mig är”

El Adolf Fredriks Girls Choir es uno de los mejores coros juveniles que hemos encontrado en nuestra vida coral. La calidad del trabajo de Bo Johansson solo puede alcanzarse con dedicacion, disciplina  y sobretodo profundo amor por el canto coral y por sus jovenes cantores. Es un ejemplo para el mundo como modelo de educacion y de perfeccion artistica.

Thirty years... quite old for children!

I would like to congratulate all of you for this celebration, on the name of the International Federation for Choral Music, and on behalf of all its officers.

There are not many institutions in the world comparable to Adolf Fredrik’s. A school of excellence in the choral art, a dedication to the children and above all, an education system based on the mutual respect and understanding through music and singing.

I had the privilege to work together with Bosse in many occasions, and for sure, he is one to thank and congratulate for his hard work, combined with an un-imitable sense of understanding of the youth’s spirit and possibilities.

Long life to the Adolf Fredrik’s Girls Choir!
